The Sunset Valley Railroad (SVRR, formerly the Sunset Valley Oregon System, or SVOS) models 10 prototype railroads as they existed in the Pacific Northwest in 1955. Features include replicating the Southern Pacific (SP) from Portland, OR to Dunsmuir, CA, via their original Siskiyou line, SP’s famous Coos Bay Branch, abundant Spokane Portland and Seattle (SP&S) trackage, independent railroad logging and mining operations, as well as the Great Northern (GN), Northern Pacific (NP), and Union Pacific (UP) operations into Portland.
A visit by Bob Wundrock to the Sunset Valley Oregon System model railroad. This video contains a number of clips following a Southern Pacific train from Eugene Yard west to Dunsmuir (Physically south is railroad west). This video shows off several of the beautiful bridges and other architectural features of the Sunset Valley layout.
Although the SVRR will not be featured as "Miniature World Wonderland '55" at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids this year, the following PDF is packed with information about the Sunset Valley Railroad.
